About
Hi! I’m a Product/UX Designer based in Austin, TX and I enjoy creating delightful, user-centered apps and interfaces.
After I earned a BA in History of Photography and an MA in Museum Studies, I starting working in the stock photography industry where I remained for several years. Then I decided to switch it up and pursue a career in the legal profession. After earning a Certificate in Paralegal Studies, I worked in the legal department at Amazon in Seattle and then at a large law firm in Austin.
After moving to Austin I found myself feeling unsatisfied in the legal field. Though I had recently learned metal smithing as a creative outlet, it wasn’t enough to satisfy this itch I still had to do something more creative. I also missed working in the innovative and energetic environments I enjoyed at GettyImages and Amazon.
When I learned about UX Design, it felt perfect for me. I loved the idea of creative problem solving backed by research and testing. After a lot of research to find the right program, I enrolled in an intensive boot camp through DesignLab and learned the skills I needed to pursue my new career. Now, after 3+ years as a UX/Product Designer, I’m pleased to say I have found my passion in this career!
In my spare time, I enjoy going to concerts, making metal jewelry in my home studio, and I'm a regular volunteer dog walker at the Austin Animal Center.
